The Tesco Buy Now Pay Later payment plan enables Tesco credit card holders to buy a selected item of £250 or over with no deposit and zero interest. When you buy an item on this scheme, there is nothing to pay whatsoever for the first six months. In addition, unlike many other buy now pay later stores offering similar credit options, there is no need to pay any sort of deposit either! What’s more there are also no early repayment fees if you decide to pay off the full amount before the full payment is actually due. As an added bonus for Tesco customers, you continue to collect extra Clubcard points during the payment period as you will be using your Tesco credit card to make payments!
For example, if you buy an item costing £300, for the first 6 months you pay nothing, no monthly payments. Then if you pay the full amount outstanding at the end of the six month period, you will only pay £300 in total. However, if after the 6 month period you do not pay the balance in full, then the remaining balance is treated like a normal purchase on your credit card and interest will be applied just like any other credit card purchase. To be eligible for the Tesco Buy Now Pay Later payment plan, you need to have a Tesco credit card with enough remaining credit to cover the full cost of the purchase. If you do not have a Tesco credit card you cannot purchase items on the Buy Now Pay Later plan at Tesco.
If you already have a Tesco credit card, just select the item you want to order from the Tesco direct website or from the Tesco direct catalogue. The Buy Now Pay Later plan is only available over the phone, plus when calling have your Tesco credit card handy and the catalogue number of the item you want to buy so the operator can check the desired item is available for the Buy Now Pay Later repayment plan. Once you have confirmed the purchase, you can go ahead and use your Tesco credit card, collect your extra Clubcard points, and have the item delivered with nothing to pay for 6 months! over this 6 month period you will see a summary of Buy Now Pay Later balances on your credit card statement.
